Play & Activities
At Little Acorns Day Nursery we strongly believe children learn through play. We have six weekly themes, which involve reading, dressing up, painting, arts and craft, using the computer and lots of discussions. The themes can be anything from food to a country, pets, or where we live.
We have a 'show and tell' time encouraging the children to bring things in from home and talk about them. All children love this time and can display their items on our 'show and tell table'.
The baby room is bright and spacious, our staff give the babies attention that is second to none, we offer the best stimulating toys available and encourage the children to play and share with others, integrating with the older children at various times throughout the day.

Key Workers
This means that a member of the Little Acorns team will be assigned to your child; they make observations concerning your child, which includes their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. The key worker will work closely with your child to ensure continuity of care and help your child settle into the nursery quickly and smoothly. The key worker will ensure you, the parents, are kept fully informed of your child's progress.
Food & Nutrition
All our meals are prepared daily using fresh fruit and vegetables, and we are happy to cater for any special dietary requirements. Our menus are rotated every 5 weeks.
We have mid morning and mid afternoon 'milk bars' where we serve fruit, milk and water to the children, encouraging healthy eating. This is for a period of 30 minutes whereby the children can help themselves to what they want to eat or drink in the 'milk bar' area. Our staff are there to assist them.
