All children who will be in receipt of the 30 hours funding will be able to opt in or out of the additional fee charges (see above) that will apply to the 2 funded full days each week. Any additional days beyond the 2 funded days will be charged as per our standard fee policy as above.
You will be asked to complete a form in order to opt in or out at the time of registration.
What do you get for £11.44 a day??? …………
Food: This will include breakfast (choice of 4 cereals & toast), morning fresh fruit snack, 2 course hearty lunch (main meal is always a hot meal), afternoon fresh fruit snack, 2 course tea (main meal can be hot or cold). Breakfast & both snacks also include milk (or milk alternative) to drink.
Consumables: All nappies, wipes, nappy creams, suncream, and Calpol/Nurofen/Piriton in case of emergency. All you have to remember to bring is your child and a bag with some spare clothes!!!! ☺
EEBSF (Enhanced Experiences Beyond the Statutory Framework: These will be experiences that we provide but are not a legal requirement and are not listed within the standards as part of our obligation under our provider agreement with the local council and the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage.
This includes (but is by no means limited to): U-Sport coaching, animal encounter visits, Mother’s/Father’s Day, family birthday card requests, Easter (including real life chicks hatching), Christmas, Halloween, Diwali, Chinese New Year, the nativity/or Christmas party, various ad hoc celebrations throughout the year, leavers party, food, resources, bouncy castles, and entertainers. The cost reflects all of the additional things that we provide above and beyond the basics to be able to allow the children to get the best experience possible whilst away from home.
The cost will remain the same regardless of your child’s age. The cost of items such as nappies etc... are removed for the year when they turn 3 but then the cost of adding a graduation party in their final year means it evens out as the same cost throughout.
Please note if your child is still in nappies at age 3 the fee for this will need to be added back on as an additional payment.
Opting Out: If you opt out sadly it does mean your child will have to miss out and be will be excluded from joining in with all of these extra enhanced experiences.
Children’s Uniform: There will be the option to purchase embroidered children’s uniform at an additional cost, this cost can be added to your yearly invoice in order to help spread the cost, just tick the relevant box next to the size you would like and how many, this can be found on the opt in/out sheet.
Daily Food supplement: There will be a daily fee added to all days (government funded & full fee sessions) for providing an alternative menu i.e. Vegan, Vegetarian, Dairy free, Wheat free etc….
INVOICING
Invoices will be produced based on a school year starting from 1st September though to 31st August each year, it will detail all paid in full days along with the costs for opting in to the additional services and the supplemental food charge (if option requested) then the yearly total (or what remains of the year if starting part way through the school year) will then be evenly divided by the remaining number of months so that you will pay the same amount each month helping you to work out finances. All fees are payable in full monthly in advance and are due on the 1st of every month.
•	A copy of the exact full breakdown of individual costs relating to the EEBSF is available upon request.
•	If you initially opt in and then subsequently opt out - all experiences your child has joined in with up to that date and any uniform purchased must be paid for in full.
30 HOURS FUNDING
If you have not yet applied for your 30 hours please go to https://www.gov.uk/free-childcare-if-working/apply-for-free-childcare-if-youre-working to see if you are eligible. You will be issued a code if you are eligible - we will need to check this code before your child can use funded hours.
TAX-FREE CHILDCARE
Don’t forget to set up tax-free childcare payments via your childcare portal as you will be able to receive £2.00 back from the Government for every £8.00 you put in meaning your childcare will ultimately be tax-free helping to reduce costs further ☺ go to https://www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare to find out more about tax-fee childcare.
Registration Fee If your child will be attending 3 or more days there will be a registration fee of £50.00 payable at the time of confirming your space. Spaces will not be guaranteed until this fee is received. This is non-refundable even if you subsequently change your mind and no longer want a space.
Late Collection of children
There will be a fine of £15.00 for every part of 15 minutes a child is collected late, i.e. if you are 10 minutes late the cost will be £15.00 if you are 16 minutes late the fine will be £30.00, this is per child.
We have spent a very long time crunching numbers and doing our very best to keep our fees and charges as low as we possibly can and hope you understand we cannot offer all of the above without the need to charge for it, as the amount of funding the Government pay to settings goes nowhere near covering the actual cost of providing a high level of childcare on a daily basis or any of the additional extra things we like our Little Acorns to experience.
